iTunes Playlist help needed!

Never messed around with Playlists before and am having difficulty!

I used the File menu to create a new Playlist. It then creates a Folder icon called Untitled for me, which i renamed to Acoustic.

I've then gone to the Music folder and attempted to drag the song but i get the no entry icon. Although, if i drag it to the pre-made Purchased Playlist i can drag it there.

I've also tried right clicking on the song and gone to 'Add to Playlist...' but the only one shows up: Purchased!

Do i have to enable the new Playlist folder somehow? Thought it would be nice and simple! Here is a screengrab if that helps:

That Acoustic isnt the logo for a playlist, so no idea what you've managed to do there.

Click "Genius" bottom left, so you're in the right area. Just under where you've cut off for the screen grab, press the "+" button.

That will create your playlist. Then you can drag or add.

under file you've clicked "new playlist folder" click the one above that just "new playlist"

And You can't add to the purple ones "Smart Playlists" cos they fill automatically based upon pre-defined rules.
