iTunes will not launch/ open on my PC

Running vista

Only been a problem since I updated to the new software for my iphone, had to restore my PC etc and now when you double click on the itunes icon it looks like its going to open but does nothing.

I have had a good look on net and deleted a couple of files in hidden folders etc that Apple say shoudl fix it but does nothing. Also created a new user but again - does naff all.

Anyone who can help on I would actually love you

First thing to do with Windows is reinstall anything that isn't working.

If i uninstall my itunes will i lose al my music?

Knowing windows, probably. Try installing over the top without uninstalling. To be double sure just backup all the data first. It can always be reimported to a new iTunes.

I think the music files should remain, but back them up before going ahead. Then it won't matter.

firstly - vista is s**t and you know it
secondly - you wont lose the songs, they can be redeemed by itunes.
