iTunes, WTF?

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4
I've just bought two new music CDs, gone to put them into iTunes so I can put them on my iPhone, it starts to import the first track then just zips through the whole CD (i.e not importing them correctly) and says its done. I thought it might be the CD itself (some copy protection) so I removed one of the albums I already have in iTunes and tried to re-import it, it does exactly the same thing??

The only thing I can think is that iTunes has been updated to a newer version since I last imported a CD, have they changed something??

no, no error messages, just tried the same CDs on the PC downstairs and it works fine. I've re-installed iTunes on this PC and it still does it.

I remember fixing this for one person recently and it was because they were ignoring the update message?!

Other than that not sure bud? Hope someone else can help...

  Better than yours. C*nt.
7.6.2 has recently hit - until I upgraded it stopped mine from burning CDs in a similar fashion.

I've just tried playing the CDs in Windows Media Player actually and it won't read all the tracks, says there are errors, I can't believe the drive is faulty though, it has been working fine up until now. Its installed correctly and running the latest firmware though.

I've just discovered the cause of the problem, Vista SP1!?

Yeh apparently there are problems with iTunes and 64bit OS. I've got XP Pro x64 and every time I start up it says: "If you wish to import or burn CDs, you need to reinstall iTunes".

No, there's problems with iTunes on XP x64/Windows Server 2003 x64. Vista x64 is a supported operating system.
