I've erm.. broken my car

So, there I was, attempting to install new front components and I've made a complete hash of it.

I guess I should have got someone to do it that knows what they're doing, but alas, couldn't wait that long.

Are there any wiring diagrams available that could help me out? Currently I have no sound from either component, and bizarrely no sound from the rear speakers either (not even touched them).

Doh :(

Check that both connector blocks are in the back of the Headunit mate. is the Headunit actually powering up?

you need 1 run of cable (1 positive and 1 negative) going from the Headunit to the crossover and 1 run from crossover to the woofer and finally and 1 run from crossover to the tweeter. (per side)

Let me know how you get on mate

Headunit's working fine.

It was wired up like this:

Wires spliced from back of headunit loom to input on xover (pos + neg)
Wires spliced from car loom to woofer cable (pos + neg) to xover.
Tweeter running down to xover (no splicing on this one)

I'm guessing that wasn't right :p

Oh and all the fuses are fine.

I've taken it all apart now, and put electrical tape round the bare wires (individually, mind :p).

Gonna get another mate to take a look at it some time this week. Shall let you know how I get on.

Gonna go to the pub and get mashed now woo :D

Sounds like you have cut the wires to the rears somehow, and not wired the fronts up correctly.

Where did you snip the original wiring to connect the crossover outputs for the woofer? In the footwells?

as long as you have cut the correct wires what your trying to do is ok, you have it right
