Inspection..
Another well looked after and clean car! Should make my life a little easier.
Starting with the engine bay..
Rinsed. G101 applied and agitated. Rinsed. Later dressed with AG Vinyl and Rubber Care.
All four wheels had recently (within the month) been refurbed. Nothing special required here! G101 used to clean – a selection of brushes used to clean and then rinsed.
To touch the car felt quite rough; I knew there would be a fair bit of fallout on this one…
With the engine, wheels and doorshuts out of the way, I next concentrated on the body wash. Opting for an ONR wash here as the car was already very clean and the heat was billowing down making some panels even too hot to touch!
Tardis then used to soften the collection of tar on the lower panels.
Sonus Green clay after a small section of the bonnet:
Switched to AG clay for a change.
Build-up from the rear bumper..
There was LOTS of build-up on the lowers. Today, claying was a drawn out and painstaking process! (made a massive difference to the overall finish of the car though..)
Paint condition in direct sun-light:
Washed and ready to go inside:
Loading the PC7424 with a yellow 3M polishing pad, I used Jeffs Prime to clean and prep the paint in readiness for the protective sealant layer..
Once complete (and a few areas requiring hand-polishing as opposed to machine), the first layer off Jett Trigger went down.
In the meantime, the alloys were sealed and engine was dressed.
After the half hour curing time required by Jett Tigger, the second coat was applied. Meanwhile(!), the (already quite clean (just requiring a few tar spots removing and a mild polish)) exhausts were cleaned and tyres dressed.
Following trend, the interior was very tidy too! Only requiring a quick pass with the hoover, a few spot cleans with G101 on the plastics and leather treated with the LTT kit.
Third and final coat of Jeffs applied and rolled outside to check my work..
Two minutes later… FAIL!
…just typical.
Windows cleaned, shuts wiped down, exterior plastics dressed where nesarcary.
Final shots:
That’s all folks! A very nice car.. Pushing out some 480bhp through the rear wheels.
Time taken was around 7 hours..
Thanks for reading. Jim
