janspeed tail pipes rusty!!!!!!!

I bought a stainless steel janspeed cat back exhaust for my 182 about 6 months ago. The system has been spot on until recently i discoverd the tail pipes have become rusty.. Do you think janspeed will just swap it for a new system or do you think i may have a fight on my hands. They do quote a lifetime garentee.. Well gutted

is it rust or just tarnishing? got a piccie?

stainless will rust, it just does so at a much slower rate than mild.

I dont have a piccie mate, and yes its definatly rust its bubbeling too. I do understand they will rust but not after 6 months.. come on

  Titanium 182 & 306 Diesel
Mines Janspeed and approx over a year old as I bought it second hand and its still in MINT! condition?

does seem v poor. don't know what Janspeed are like but some of the other stainless exhaust manufacturers are less than interested in warranty claims.

does the warranty say anything about corrosion? worth a go anyway IMO

saying that I clean mine with brasso every few months - and also take the full system off when I get it up on the ramps to give it a good clean :p

Is this the system that doesn't have stainless tailpipes, they are brushed ally or something and chip easily??
