Jaytec Racing V6

Does anyone know if there is a project thread for this V6 done by Jaytec in the Renault colours pictured here -http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...-last-meet-chester-mini-meet&highlight=jaytec


My MD has bought it and its sitting in our work car park at the moment. He is not sure whats been done to it so thought i would ask the cliosport knowledge base. As far as i can see from the thread above nobody really knew what had been done... ??? My boss has promised to let me drive it once the weather improves... Winning

No project thread anywhere. Can't see any posts from the previous owner(s) about what was actually done to it. A few v6 owners commented that it was faster than a standard v6. Can see theres a janspeed exhaust on it. Some posts on v6clio.net mention a remap, different injectors, filter etc.

What i can tell you is that it started life silver, then was resprayed illiad, then to the current colour scheme.

Agreed, I think it looks great for going on track with (so long as it has a spec to mean its looks arent writing cheques its engine cant cash!), but I wouldnt want to have it as a road car looking like that.

At the time of that meet jaytec 'seemed' to be a nice fella.. Although it didn't take him long to turn into a w*****r. As he is known to be on v6.net.. At the time the car looked amazing in the flesh but I believe it is also made up of 2-3 v6 put together. The car has had a bit of history I do believe and as far as I'm aware the only modifications it had was a full system, buckets and harnesses.

Your boss should of look harder when buying!

I've nothing against Clio enthusiast non owners. It's the people who seem to not even like the cars but still hang around I think are weirdos.

Well my bosses mate only paid £7k for it (says it all really) and he owes my boss money so he took ownership, it doesnt have buckets or harnesses now but the exhaust is definitely after-market. To be fair a clio is not really his thing, he mainly buys and restores old classic Merc's. He says its similar to driving his old porsche boxster

well the interior is nothing special, standard phase 1 half leather seat. I did take a quick look at the engine the other day, noticed a standard v6 airbox but didnt see anything else out of the ordinary, not really sure what im looking for though tbh. If he brings it in today i will see if i can get a cheeky pic of the engine bay and upload it.

I didn't think anyone will ever know the full history of this car apart from jay himself. Don't think he will ever tell anyone the full history as he seams to be that full of s**t! I use to stand up for the guy and almost felt sorry for him. Turns out he couldn't care anyone or anything other than himself. I kind of like the look of the car, spoke about buying it when I was talking to him and he said I could have it for 7k. I am sure that the car is a cat d and it did seam faster than my ph2 v6 maybe he just drove it harder than I drive. The only mods that I could ever see was the backbox and a different air box.

I think it had to be modified to cope with the six people driving it at the same time.
