To say I'm pissed off is a major understatement.

Went to the gym with a mate in Sale and I left my car parked outside his. When I came back I was greeted by to large key marks in the rear quarter and in the door. The one in the rear quarter is the full length of the panel and the one in the door isn't much smaller, from what I can tell it's right down to the metal as well.

I'll post pictures of it tomorrow when I can take some during the day.

Does anyone have any rough ideas how much lighter it going to make my pocket to have the rear quarter and door resprayed?

See if you can dig your nail in to the scratch, alot of key marks just leave a dusty substance that make the scratch look worse than it is.

If you do get bits resprayed get the bumper and bonnet done to.

Yeah you can, definitely needs respraying mate. Not sure if it's a random attack or a personal one. I never checked to see if any other cars parked near mine had been keyed.

Where abouts in Sale did it happen?

I'd not long had mine washed when I parked it outside Booze & Food in Northern Moor and some cheeky t**t decided to do my drivers side corner panel. I got a mate to touch it up for me which luckily did the job.

Repair quarter and door , blend wing..

we usually get quite alot of vandalised cars come in for insurance work , scratches etc looking to be without your car for around a week depending on how fast your insurance company is .

That's shocking mate! Real bummer, I'm not surprised that your pissed.

What you could do before investing all that cash in on a respray is to get the T-cut out and give it some good old elbow grease at least, like Curley said some of them just leave dust.
But if that fails then you probably are looking at a good few hundred quid for a respray, and it'll probably never look as good, i.e. might not match other body panels.
You could maybe see if you could source a salvaged door though.

Yeahh I appreciate there's quite abit of work to be done and understand why it's going to be so expensive. I'm going to try and avoid going through my insurance though as I haven't got protected no claims. I'll definitely consider using you though because I've seen your work 1st hand when you did that engine cover for me.

To be honest I think it's just random, the annoying thing is I could have parked it further up the road on a single yellow line which would have been a safer place. Rather have a ££s parking fine than what I'm facing now.

I had my Impreza keyed approx. 300 miles away from where I live. Was that personal?
