Jenic and timps Ring Trip

Earlier in the year we decided to pop to the ring for a long weekend, and this weekend just gone we did!

Loads of photo's here, I didn't really take any so they are all of my mates iphone.

Started on Thursday with an overnight stop over in Canterbury, which is a really nice place btw. We also took a trip to the seaside while we were there!

Classy travelodge

Next morning, early up for the 10'oclock cheapo ferry

Leaving Dover

Entering Belgium

Got to the hotel Friday afternoon

Went and had a quick look at the track

Mostly Porsche's and M3's all weekend! Made me feel quite inadequate :dapprove:

Then we got pizza

Next morning we went for a wonder around the ring complex, Tourist rides weren't on until the afternoon.

Tourist rides in the afternoon and all day Sunday :approve:

As cookie said whats going on with the photos have you tried taking them all on HDR cause if so it dont work they look weird

What's with the bizarre effect on all the pictures?

Most of them photos have been taken using the camera+ app on iphone then just clicked clarity which is suppose to sort it out quickly without any messing about. As i was taking the photos quickly it seemed the easiest thing to do

I stayed in the same hotel (Miserable Eddie...) and ate at pinnochios too! Quality eating establishment!

I can't wait to go back.

Photography took a bit of a back seat, I just couldn't be bothered and was more concerned with the cars and laps, even though I didn't get that many in.

Was a quality weekend, everyone that is remotely interested in cars needs to do it. Even if you dont do laps the atmosphere there is simply amazing.

Cant wait to return, on a par with my trip to Slovenia as my favourite holiday I've ever been on!

Only saw eddie once, when I got there. Shame as I wanted to talk to him, his parents were still really friendly though. In fact everyone was really friendly which i didn't really expect from Germans.

Yep it was.

I'd stay there again, if you need a garage or tools they have them, its a nice place to stay, good breakfast, friendly owners, decent price imo and a big room.

We worked it out on the ferry home, think it was somewhere between £800-£900 for everything. 2 people, 1 car, 1 night in england, 3 in germany, petrol, food, drink, laps etc

Ta for that mate. Ill run it by my mates see if they're interested. Do you pay a premium for the track/accomodation on the weekend, as with my shifts would aim to go midweek so its a bit quieter.

Was there this weekend, honestly is well worth it! Think its same price no matter what day, as its always busy. Hotel Nordschleife is defo a good choice to stay.
