Interested in buying a clio dynamique 138

with xenons and climate controll..

They said £14400:rasp:

And they were going to give me £5000 off my current car, I paid £8500 for it... "£3000 deposit and been paying £242 a month since april."

So all they would be giving me they said was £900 off a new car..

I told them I might as well as got a hire car cause that would of been cheeper......

Really disapointed, but not going to get ripped off....:(d

Trade in prices are pisspoor at the moment - but there should be some massive discounts for negotiation, I traded in a 1 year old Clio for not much more than half (!) what I paid for it... but got a great discount on the new car.

Tbh buying new is like burning cash in the current climate unless you want to keep it for atleast 5 years because otherwise you take all the depreciation without making the most of the use of the car.

I got my car for £3500 when it was 22 months old with 29.5K optional AC and FSH.

List price was £10,000 now i presume this was discounted as it was a late MK2 so possibly £9000, but off list someone has lost £6500 in 22 months.

Now if i can only sell it for £2500 next august which would get me a quick sale i'd have only lost £42 a month as opposed to £295 for the 1st 22 months of its life.

The point of my lecture is to get one thats about 18 months old and mint available for around 8K. Or save for a year and go 1*2/197.

I told him I werent happy with the price, when I left...

Paid £3000 deposit and £242 a month and all they were going too give me was £900 No WAY:nono:

Sell private and buy private.Leave the stealers alone.

If you buy new enough then it will still have warranty.

wrong time to buy i expect you car is also worth less then you owe on the finance i keep hereing theirs deals to be had but in the long run a mint preowned is the only way to go renaults loose a bomb no mater what model pay it off an just enjoy it

I wouldnt get dealers, go private. Or go into the dealers, tell them what YOU want to pay a month (being reasonable), they'll see if they can match it or get close. If not, walk! Because at this time in the market they should be bending over backwards for a sale!

Also, your car being a 'Tom Tom' won't make it more sellable than any other clio. They are just basic freeway models and came with stickers and free sat navs.

Thats expensive for a 138, should be able to get them way down on that price.

Going too wait to see if i get a follow up call... They probably will get intouch and better the offer... :)..

The thing that really pi**ed me off is that I paid £3000 deposit " all my savings " nowt left then were paying £242 p/m .. for 7 mnth and they come round and say all that money is worth £900 off your New CAR:quiet::lolup:

WISH I GOT THE LOT ON FINANCE !!!

lol

i was offered a brand new 197 cup for £12,600 at the weekend.

Can I have the number  ..

There was a brand new 197 cup with bodykit e,tc behind my chair in the dealership and it was going for £15000...

I were going too say that I might as well pay the extra £600 and get that..

would love one of them:eek:

The cheap 197 Cup was probably from Inchcape in Southampton - so a bit of a trip for you. But a bloke from there called Mark(I think) is supposed to do good deals.

P.s.. The dealer said that my car is loosing value at £200 p/m is that right ?

As trade-in yes, probably. You know you can add £1000+ for private sale?

IMO now is the time for buying brand new cars, while there is massive oversupply in the market and whilst the effects of cutting production haven't really kicked in. Once the cars stop flowing from the factory, there will be less incentive for the dealers to do stupid deals to make target.
