Juddering 182

  Black Gold 182

Over the last few weeks, Ive noticed when the car is idling, it is juddering quite a lot. It doesnt matter if the engine is warm or cold, I just tend get shaken all over the place! Its been back to the dealership once where they apparently had a bit of a fiddle around with the throttle body to try to sort it but to no avail, so its obviously got to go back in again. Just wondering though if anybody has experienced a similar problem and how it was fixed?

Mine is exactly the same and has got worse recently. Im just going to put up with it for now, I cant be bothered to book it in for more work.

They never idle smoothly, but this is the worst Ive had on either my old 172 or 182.

The lad I give a lift home from work commented he thought it was trying to cut out the other day it was so obvious!

It does feel a bit like the mounts Mark. If I blip the throttle when stationary I can feel more of a bump than usual.

another one to look forward too

Guess what, my exhaust still rattles and this is a brand new one. Could be the heat shield, but Ive lost interest now.

Yup - me too - noticeably worse when idling from cold though. It had its first splutter-judder-Im almost stalling, session the other day too.

Bloody thing hasnt even done 5,000 miles yet....

Anyone else have the sensation that the clutch feels like its slipping at times? Again, it seems to do this more often when its cold....
