Its evident that a meet needs organising. Im hoping we can fit in this month (if not then it will be August) and this thread is to gauge interest and find out what days/times people are available. The specifics I will leave to someone else as Ive no experience with that. Please reply below if youd be interested and when youll be available. I really wanna meet some of you guys!:smile:

Get yourself a mailing list. Basically a thread with no chat, just people's names from the area who want updating to the meets.

That way you just copy and paste into a comment and they're all made aware of the meet/thread

I also from Yorkshire and could be up for a meet one weeknight(Tues/Wed/Thurs only).
Why not meet at Huiddersfield football club car park this coming Monday night, they have an Autosolo that night which you can enter there and then, from 6.30pm.

Thanks for the suggestion mate! I was hoping more for a weekend meet but we could organise something for a weekday. It all depends on what more people would prefer.

I think i'll let someone else finalise that decision. Personally was hoping we could meet up somewhere for a bit and then go for a drive get some nice pictures grab some food etc. Think it would be more interesting than standing about in a car park. Either way just need to know when people are free.

As a meet organising veteran (most of them have failed if I'm honest), you're probably best just picking a day and going for it. You're never going to please everyone.

Sad times Cheers for the advice though, I'll probs arrange it around just a couple of people and then hope others can come along. I don't mind if theres just 5, 4 or even just 3 cars as long as there is someone to meet up with. I feel like some people in Yorkshire are just lazy haha

Completely missed the other thread, but yeah we've been discussing a potential meet soon-ish, I think a number of us have been banging on about a meet, drive and some grub somewhere. As the workaholic #1 meet organiser @leeds_182 said himself, it's tough to all agree a day so just pick a weekend, and see who's free, if you're lucky it'll be a good weekend for it with plenty heads.
Quite a few of use only met last weekend at CSF for the first time too - make sure you bring a pair of earplugs in preperation for @Sj1782 's exhaust, a whole rally of sparkling cars (apart from @OssPoop 's), and apparently someone said something about torquing up wheel bolts correctly? Oh and some random bloke showing up in a Saxo.

This was the last big drive out I went on with the Yorkshire crew, was quite long but a really good and we stopped at The Fleece Inn for some snap which was decent.

The meet will be on SUNDAY 24TH JULY as the general consensus appears that most are happy with that and are free to attend (I apologise in advance if this date is not good for you). Now is the part that I REALLY NEED HELP WITH! The Plan for the day. Where are we going? What are we doing? And at what time are we doing it? Please make all suggestions possible and get chatting because you lot all know whats best. Remember: IVE NEVER BEEN TO A MEET:tongueclosed:
