jump starting

Car  Mini Cooper S JCW


right peeps quick help needed...........its my battery, im gonna get it jump started..........

wot polarity is the battery??? iv been told to find out coz out ford galaxy might not be able to do it?!!

As long as you connect the + to + and - to - doesnt matter..

Id rather replace the cat then the ecu as my friend did after he used jump leads and fried his ecu. (hes head mechanic @ honda)

My book also states to NEVER jump start the car.

ur better off putting the + on the + and then put the - of the charged car to somewhere on the engine of the discharged car

and switch on a few electrical items as well this avoids spiking the ecu
