is it possible to just have 1 cup pack on the ff 182? I'm looking to get a 182 soon with both cup packs. Obviously i can just look at the wheels but how can you tell the diference on the suspension and chasis?
yes it is possible (Luke. did), cup suspension is a few mm lower and the cup packs include the spoiler. This has been covered alot, search for more info.
the alloys and spoiler are easy enough to spot but what about the chasis and susppension? I thoought there mite be a mark or other distinguishing feature denoting it has thhe cup pack 2 fitted? I'll do a quick search too..
Do a search, visually springs are paint marked to denote stiffer rating but may be hard to see. If it came with satnav/telephone prep it would have only had the splitter from the spoiler pack and wouldnt have originally been sold with a cup spoiler and will have a different aerial base.
Got It. Suspension and alloys come as 1 package and the splitter and spoiler as another. I thought the spoiler would of been bigger TBH. I have the same on my clio now so It just looks normal to me. How do I check that the seller just hasn't put the althra alloys on a FF 182 with the spoiler pack?
The suspension changes are pretty minimal, its not a huge drop-sub 10mm iirc so hard to know visually. The uprated cup front hubs and the paint coding (small bands) on the stiffer springs would also be a clue.
Prob the simplest way is just to ask your local Renault stealership for the original build sheet. Give them the reg and they can print one off for you. Find the reg of a std 182 and ask for the build sheet on that too and you should be able to see any cup packs there (they're called something else btw on these sheets but you should be able to pick them out).
