Just a couple of questions regarding my new 182

Hi folks, right I put a deposit on my new 182 on thursday, it was advertised on autotrader and to keep the car going to anyone else I put a deposit on it. Went to see it today and a few things wernt quite right.

1: No tyre inflation stuff

2: 2 badges missing from the boot

3: Badly scratched gearknob

My question is does the place where do i stand? Does the place im buying it from have to put these right or is there nothing I can do?

Where you buying the car from, is it a dealer or a private garage? The tyre inflation stuff may have been used and is reasonably inexpensive to buy. As for the missing badges, i'd definitely want that sorting! Which badges are missing?
The scratched gearknob is cosmetic really, ask for £50 knocked off the asking price and they can often be bought on eBay.

Cheers for the replys guys! Daz, the sport badge is missing and the clio badge 2. I saved the photos of when i saw it and the badges are definatly there when the photos were taken. Im guessing the have been removed by some theiving scummer! I'll ask bout the gearknob, see what they say. I just wanted to drive it away then! Cant wait!

i thought the 'clio' badge was held on by two pins, so if thtas gone you will have two small holes in your boot lid.

if its private then get them to knock a few quid off. if its from a garage then get then to sort it ALL before you drive away.

My gear knob is scratched from when i bought it, easy to get another top panel off ebay mate, happens when people wear rings when driving.

As for the badges, shouldnt cost much to replace, and halfords sell tyre foam, be about £20 for a couple of cans.

Just use them as barter points, and ensure everything else is ace about the car.

Rang the place where im getting my car from today and was told the badges will be replaced! Lets see what saturday brings shall we?!

Did u look under the passenger seat for the tyre stuff? Thats where mine are, in a renault pouch.

Check to see if the foam that is missing isn't in one of the tyres of the car you are buying. It happened to someone on here/or the V6 forum. He bought the car and then later found out he'd been driving around with a tyre full of foam.
