Just been crashed into - Bodyshops in Leeds?

Coming home from a trip to the supermarket about 6 tonight, doing 30 on the main road, a chap has come from the right at a give way point, and completely failed to give way, and hit the rear drivers side of me. Ill need a new door, rear quarter panel, alloy and tyre, as well as all the trim and a respray.

Does anyone know of a reputable bodyshop / repair place in Leeds, as the guy said he would rather deal with it outside of the insurers, which for now suits me also.

Im absolutely fooking gutted as i only wanted to keep the car which was in a decent enough condition for a month or two more until my NCB came through and i could get a valver.

Gutted.

Pics to follow.

yeah u need to get something written from them asap or recorded really lol.

but whos gona do tht wen u jus crashed if they say its there fault lol.

Even if he now does a U-turn and decides it wasnt his fault, I would be forced to go through the insurers, and I had 2 people in the car who would testify it was his fault.

Also, due to the nature of the damage, for it to be my fault i would have had to be going the wrong way down the street before performing an elaborate 180 handbrake turn into the front of his car.

  Shhh
Up to you dude, if you think you can run with the car as it is now for a few months, and settle for a cash agreement then do so, when the NCB comes through move on and use the cash you get towards the insurance..

or..

you can get it repaired, prob to the cost of about £800 - £900 for the chap.

I guess when he see's the price to have the car repaired, i guess you will be going through the insurance company..

What about personal injury etc.?

Nothing wrong with reporting it. You can decide to do something about it if he disappears.

ENsure you get a good couple of contact numbers too and make sure it all tallys up!

@pmurray - Thanks for the advice mate, ive got a few places lined up now i can go and get estimates from once i get the car driveable again.

I found out some weeks back, I'm literally 2 minutes from you - i never realised before how close you were. Im at James Baillie Park on North Hill road just up the road from yourself. If i get this mess sorted and get a valver, i may well be coming round for a remap!

@AliasOmega - If the guy comes through with the cash for an agreed value, then in all likelihood i will just do without a car for a month or two and keep the car at my parents until i get my NCB, then use the cash for a new car.

@DarthCake - Ive done some serious assed research since i got home - the name he has given me ties up with the address, from what i have found he still lives with his parents. The car numberplates tie up with the correct car and his car is taxed properly so chances are his insurance is in good order. I also managed to find a home phone number after a bit of hunting around.
