Thanks for all your help guys. The paint was just silver caliper spray paint from halfords, about 4-5 coats with 15 mins in between each coat.

  ?
Its not too hard :p just knackering, my drives an incline and with just the one axle stand (god knows where i put the other!) i had to do one wheel at a time, and with drying time in between coats it really took the piss lol!

p.s. (anyone notice the ph2 rear lights? :))

good job man, what colour you going for, how have you managed to curb those alloys already by the way lol.

They were 2nd hand so all the kurbing you see was already there, Im planning to get the alloyts refurbed eventually in dark grey. Personally, I havent kurbed them at all .

actually thats very good work , you've done there :approve:

Thanks!

IMO the drums should have been black.

The calipers will look good in silver though.

Sam

I like them like this tbh, cant wait to do the calipers, theyll look much better.

thats fair enough then dude, you could have atleast cleaned under your arches and got rid of the rust lol ;)

  ?
The whole car needs a clean, inside, outside and underside! ive still got a lot on my mind regarding further mods but exams coming up soon so limited to what i can do.

  ?

Lemme know what you guys think, i love the change, makes a huge improvement!

  mini cooper (RIP 172)
looks good that! get it lowered and colour code some of the other bits (bump strips, bumpers, mirrors, ect) and it will look well smart!

  ?
lowering is my top priority, maybe after my exams in the summer ... colour coding ill look into doing the bump strips when i get that damn new wing resprayed, i doubt theyll charge much extra.

  Breaking A 172 Replica
Trouble is with CCing, the plastic has to be smoothed prior to painting.

Do you have A2s coming up in the summer?

  Mito Sportiva 135
How long did it take to do the callipers mate, what prep did you do before painting them?

Looks good!

  ?
About an hour a corner

-scrubbed down with wire brush a LOT
-tape / mask everything up
-spray a light coat
wait 10
-spray a light coat
wait 10
-spray a light coat
wait 10
-spray a light coat
wait 10

(you get it, until your happy with the finish)

then i would leave them to dry completely about 12/24 hours before driving, but the wheels can be put back on immediately

Nice job!

How soon did you put the rear wheels on after painting the drums? Weather up here is very changeable and i dont have access to garage.
