Call me a sceptic, but I'd be VERY surprised if a MUCH heavier car will perform better or have improved economy

Clart I don't know, I'll post an update on here when I hear from them. I'd imagine very shortly.

Ad, I'm not sure. It would have to be coniderably better built than my 172 or the 182's I've been in and they'd have to have brought the driving position and gearbox up to the kind of level I have in the Civic or else its probably not worth swapping.

I have had my 182 for 14 months and spent nearly 2 months in the garage for repairs, so i wont be throwing more money at a new clio.
