I purchased the stunning condition 172 CUP today from @Somnambulis. Very impressed so far with the car and hoping for many years of fun with the car both on the road and hopefully meeting some other like minded Clio enthusiasts.

It will spend most of the winter in the garage and I will use the the other half's Megane 3. I've driven several older cars without abs over the years... In the words of a certain former Top Gear presenter "how hard can it be?"Are you driving it over winter?
Have you driven a car with no ABS or Traction Control etc. before?
If not, you should be aware that winter is known as Cup Killing Season... lol

I know exactly what you mean - I think I've only driven one car with ABS so far (and none with TC) and it's most annoying! To be fair, in winter conditions (snow/ice) I find a car without ABS and TC far easier to drive, but I suspect that'll be because my first few cars were original Mini's, no choice other than to learn how to drive properly with one of them!
My younger days consisted of driving many a car without abs, my favourite by far was a 1988 Citroen AX GT.To be fair, in winter conditions (snow/ice) I find a car without ABS and TC far easier to drive, but I suspect that'll be because my first few cars were original Mini's, no choice other than to learn how to drive properly with one of them!
oh I will I can assure you of that. Working as a parts manager at my local Renault dealer means I have access to all genuine parts at cost prices. What I can't source from RUK I can locate on here or ebay using the O.E number from Dialogys. Please keep it mint.
