Just finished my cosworth series 1 escort!!!!

This is a little look into the car that kept me going for the last 2 1/2 years, and its finally finished (well near enough lol)

Runing 378bhp at 1.3bar of boost

what you got for traction? 378bhp through the front wheels? thats sh*t loads! ive driven a mk4 turbo which was putting out aroung 270bhp and that was nuts and quite tricky to get the most out of it from a standing start. your gonna have some fun mate!

I have quaife LSD but the standard gearfox hates the power, i have lost first gear already but sill I managed to do 135mph in 4th not sure how accurate due to wheels etc... but it too much power for fwd im runing low boost most of the time 0.8 bar. love it. I will try and get some videos up the sound of the straight through 1 off exhaust system and the external wastegate sounds so mean.. Im glad I dont need an mot carried out on it lol.

It was the only way it was going to work!

And even so I had to get loads of 1 off things for like electric water pumps, both manifolds and the list goes on lol

One of my best mate made the exhaust manifold and it took him 60 hours just to get it right (We had lots od clearence and heat issues lol) but hopefuly it will be worth it.

Cant wait to start working on my next project lol........

it was in practical and performance casr mag i think (not sure whats practical about it)

blue cinquecento, tinted rear plastic windows with a vent in them, tucked inside is a cossie engine mated to an rst gearbox... lol

I now live in the uk but all my cars will always be registered there due to loads of benefits like no mot and other things.

Looks like a hell of a lot of work has gone into it, love the way you've kept it looking standard too (best thnig to do with a series 1) as nothing needs chaging on them at all
I'd get a set of the side graphics on it too (although it does look clean without them)

Will you be getting it into any mags like fast ford etc once it's done ?

Who said that needs to be in a series 2? You should be shot! Series 1 RS's rule! As Cat said, it needs the stickers imo.

After all the work you should go into making a conversion kit. Make yourself and you mate some money!
