Ive been wondering what a splitter is for ages, I presume its the bit that adds onto the bottom of the existing bumper? How much do they cost and where do I get them from for the latest type Clio? Can you get them for the rear bumper too?

billabong-the splitter is the black bit at the bottom yer! U have to get them from different cars, mine was from a seat ibiza and cost 27 quid. u get it from the parts section

clioowner-what did u use to paint it? also, what did u cut the other hles out with

gilly honestly, get your car lowered..its wildly high, the bigger wheels just make it look like a monster truck!

then you can go rip round roundabouts, its great fun:)

If he lowers it he will have to take the chinnys off! there aint much clearance as it is!!!! haha, best way i feel!

take it there aint many speed bumps around you though gilly?

I have the same splitter pre cut to fit a MK1 if anyone wants it £10
it might fit a mk2 but cant say for sure as i have cut the ends off.

Never got chance to fit it before the crash :(

yer i found it quite easy

when u take th eold one off, the new one can be made to fit in the same clips, then i just put a few self tappers in to secure it!

yer tool the bumper off

cheers

takin the bumper off it quite easy, its all about being confident!

there are two bolts under the car and then u need to take out the four screws to take each inner arch out a bit just to allow ure hand to the other two bolts on each side! Then two clips under bonnet

All are 10mm

then it just unclips and each side

seriously, its not hard, just be confident, even if u take the wrong bolts out, u can put them back!

cheers
