Just got my 172!!

Just picked up my Chloe 172 and love it!!!

It's only done 36k and pulls really hard, it's awesome. In the corners it doesn't seem to feel as planted as my Saxo but it certainly grips very very well.

One question is, driving home the service light came on (amber) and then went off. The airbag light came on (amber) and stayed on. Turned it off and back on, did another 20 miles and nothing. No service light either.

I'm used to french cars playing these games so i'm not really bothered just wondered about the service light?

It also seems really loud when toodling around town in 2nd gear. Can't seem to hear the backbox blowing either :S Are they quite throaty?

That's what i'm calling it lol.

I certainly will, it's in a mates garage at the moment whilst I sort out the cambelt change,service and insurance.

Haha, they are a she. And the only time I really see them now is when they are working... in a chip shop. So i don't think it would be very good if i started swearing infront of customers lol

It's a common problem. If you feel under the drivers or passenger seat you'll find a plug and a cable. Just jiggle it around and the airbag light should go out.

mine does the same every now and again. Nothing to worry about. They are generally quite throaty, you won't hear the standard exhaust over the engine....

Serv light came on briefly?

Check the oil levels. Mine came on after I'd bought it on the drive home wasnt a big issue just needed some oil.

Had this problem with my 172 when i first got it. The wire that people have referred to was replaced under warranty as it should up the day after i picked it up.
