just got timing belt done

and its making a funny noise that it nvr made before it went in!

sounds like the drive belt is to tight i think

kind of a rumbly whining noise

any ideas?

Take it back, get them to explain, then your covered if something pops and they have told you it was OK.

Did they change the Aux belt and tensioners ????

dnt think so all it said on receipt was timing belt kit, labour and engine plugs.

called them, they said for me to bring it in on monday, said it sounds like the drive belt is to tight which is what i thought, but could be something else!

they did they showed me cos they had to buy them for the 172 they did before mine.

I.e. Including labour vat etc.

What about Aux belt ?

I take it they never done it ?

If it just says timing belt kit ?

And if you do take it back, make sure they fit a new belt and dont retension the old one! your not meant to do that really!
