Just how good are the 182s?

I bought mine over a 172 because I wanted one which looks like a sport model, ie the twin exhausts. I do actually think it is the best looking mk2 but thats personal opinion of course.

If i were to buy again though I'd get any of them, there all pretty equal in reality (ph1/172/cup/182).

You can get evo 5's for 182 money these days (5k ish) if you look hard enough, I sold my evo 5 and ended up with a bloody phs1 172 again. I wouldn't touch a phs2 172/182 etc i can't stand electronic throttle Urgggggg....

I think its been said, but get out and drive one job done.

You can get a lot of cars for £5k (M3, Evo, Impreza) but lets compare similar aged / mileage cars with similar running costs yeah!?
