Just ordered a 4870!

  Golf GTI PP Mk7
Which plugs the hole in my system really, ive been on a 7300LE for a few months now after I sold my 1950XTX a few months back. I want to play crysis again tho, and COD4, with everything on max, so 4870 it had to be, brining my spec to

Vista Ultimate 64-Bit
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.63ghz
4GB Kingston DDR2 ram
Sapphire Radeon HD4870

One day I'll get another one and crossfire it no doubt but im on an nVidia mobo chipset atm so its not an option for now.

I'm excited tho, time to get my game on!

Good call!

Great card - just be prepared for it to heat the room that its in. The stock cooler is turd - I'd definitely recommend getting a better 3rd party one...

Good choice! Got mine through last week!

Really pleased... however it makes me want to buy 2gb's of extra ram (got 2 atm) as i get minor lag in crysis when loading stuff... recon its either system ram or currupt crysis install..

Either way brilliant card, just use fan profiles to keep it cooler (google it)

P.S. You WONT be playing Crysis on max - before i had laggage problems (which i'm sure is just currupt install) i could run it on High and keep 25+ fps - 1680x1050

Enjoy gaming bliss!
