Just ordered some Solid top mounts

Just got off the phone from Pure motorsport, ordered some solid top mounts which im getting fitted by Birchdown on Tuesday. Will report back but im hoping they are a worthy investment???????????

Nope, but i thought it would make a nice edition to my coilovers and strut brace. Heard they make a nice improvement

ill be ordering some soon too cause my ph1 has started knocking from one of my top mounts., probably go for the pure motorsport ones with the integrated strut brace.

Which top mounts have you got? And are you that impressed by them? I think the strut brace makes prob little difference, looks good tho lol. Maybe them both combined would make a difference

i dont know to be honest, previous owner had them fitted. my last clio didnt have them and christ this feels better to drive. so much more responsive and solid

mine is having the brace and top mounts fitted as we speak from pure - they look a quality piece of kit

Ditto - felt much more positive on track, better turn in, more feedback through the wheel
Well worth the money

Ive been meaning to put a thread up. I need to get the tracking sorted again as i got the car lowered at the front a touch aswell. Initial thoughts are good, feels tighter at the front, a definate better turn in. Overall very happy

I can vouch for this, we have the strutbrace/top mount combo and the feel/handle of the car so so much better than before. Very worthy mod for any track car and it transformed our "floaty" GAZ coilovers.

Ditto - was one of the first to order the full kit and it's amazing. Transformed the B14 coilovers I had and the turn in of the car
Also the feedback through the wheel is better

Did a full day at brands hatch last month with the setup and it was absolutely spot on!

After fitting solid top mounts and lowering the car a touch at the front is it neccasery to do the tracking again? Its pretty irrelavant as im getting it done on Monday anyway as it is out. Im guessing thats normal practice anyway though?

Yes should be re done ever time you alter the ride height.

They're fine on the road

Some people say theres a bit more noise (road bangs) through the suspension when you hit bumps but I don't notice it
Saying that I've got no interior and a 99db exhaust so I probably wouldn't notice it lol

hi mate. What Phil said tbh, I've noticed minimal if any difference for day to day driving. I want to get the tracking done on monday to report back properly

Ive had mine on for a month or so and I didn't notice any difference in noise. And I do 100 miles a day.

i will have to get a set and ger Birchdown to fit them while they do the other work on my car
