I do think its a lot for a Clio, however its better than the alternative of having to drive a "boring" car.

In tax and insurance my 182 probably costs me about £600 a year more than a 1.2 16v would. I would need a bog standard A to B car any way so the luxury of having my 182 as a toy/hobby is costing me around £600 a year.

To me £600 for a hobby isn't a bad price. Its significantly cheaper than my other hobby, drinking.

Gents I believe the 23rd of March 06 means that you can have an 06 plate car that is under the new registrations. Certainly when I worked at Mazda the difference of an RX8 registered before the 23rd of March 06 and one registered after it was massive.

Also highest first years tax one a new car that I have seen was £1005 - RX8.

I don't care what Tax it is it's a fu*king RIP OFF anyway, this country is run by dishonest clueless wan*ers and is up sh*t creek without a paddle because of them!!! It's just another example of rip off Britain. This morning where I live we've just taken delivery of these new stupid recycle and separate waste bins, I live in a block of 14 apartments, we've got bins coming out of our ears here and no where to put them.... and how much have all these separate bins cost the government...????!!!! It's laughable and the brain child of some bell end behind a desk seriously bored and thought bins galore is a great idea!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say when I'm in the position to get out of this country I'm off and taking my Clio with me....................
