Just Passed Drivng Test!

I am so Pleased . Got 4 MINOR FAULTS out of 15.

I have now passed my Theory Test 1st time as well as my Driving Test 1st time .

I nearly had to cancel as well cuss I have been really ill over weekend (bedridden).. NOW SOOOOO GLAD I DIDNT.

What do you guys think of PASS PLUS?

Congratulations m8y! I think Pass Plus is worth doing as Im sure some insurance companys knock a fair bit off the quotes if you have it.

to be honest pass plus is not rated by most of the insurance companies there isnt alot of difference but i think there is with one insurance company and i cant remember who they are? anyone know?

I passed my test 8 years ago and I did the pass plus... I dont remember how much it cost but I did get a certain percentage off of my insurance.. bout 80 pounds i think.

I would find the car you want then get comparitive insurance quotes with and without pass pluss... then your see if the 120 pounds is worth it or not.... if you cant get more than 120 off your insurance then its not financially worth it.

However I gained alot from the pass plus extras that I didnt have a clue about on my test.

Im not sure about the Pass Plus I did some research as to whether it would be worth while doing it a couple of months back now when I passed my test. I found that the insurance companies took off about the same amount that it would cost to take the pass plus, so I decided against the idea.

Do you have a car ready for you to drive?

no ant got a car yet I have got £1400 at the moment and want to save at least £2000 then get a loan and maybe get clio 1.6. Not sure yet?

Pass plus will knock a certain amount off your insurance as it shows that youve driven in certain situations...I honestly dont know how much theyll drop it by, but think of it long term, £120 now, you may save say £100 now (this year, and more next as you should have 1 year NCB) so will pay for itself. Just take it easy, as youll end up pranging the motor soon after you pass....I did with a concrete post on old driveway....scratch!!!

1 years no claims or
10% discount

so deffo with it innit

IMO it knocks nothing off as the companies offering discounts charge more than tesco anyway

Have you got cash set aside for insurance? My 1.6 16v costs me £590 to insure FC and thats with 5yrs no claims and im 22. For some reason its in group10!! Sommit to bare in mind...

a 1.6 clio is going to cost you loads for insurance money...>

Save your money,, get a micro or a 1.2 clio for the first year..... then increase the car you have as you get older...


Put it this way.. at 17 I would rather pay 800 pounds (which was expensive in my day) on a sh*t small engine car... and asave the 3k insurance money for other sh*t like beer, loose woman etc.....

Saying that I now have 30k of debts I ru up from buying BMWs when I was younger.

get 1.2 16v with free ins keep it for a year reno will give you 4 yrs ncb to stay with them then move onto bigger and better things thats wot i did

Already thought about insurance on a 1.6 16v I am 21 at the moment and RegVardy are doin a deal for a years free insurance.
