those bolts snap somtimes due to the heat cycles they go through,

You should be able to get it out pretty easy, the plugs do seem a tad oily but if it runs ok then leave it lol

yea i re checked everything before i put it back together!

Turned the car over, all was ok, no fualts on dash and none when driving! all is ok, just a bit worried now if something does go wrong then im not able to get to it, due to a rounded off nut!

But it should be ok, so its all good!! hey thats my first time ive changed something on the clio! ive done it to my previous cars, but this was the most, i wouldnt say complicated, but big job, as if it goes wrong im in the sh*t lol

The cars pulls alot better aswell.. those ngk plugs really are worth the money !!!

Those bolts dont need doing up too tight.

Looking at the inside of the inlet manifold it would benefit you a lot if you gave that a good clean out, and also clean out the inside of the plenum and tb. You'd be surprised what difference it makes. On the 3rd picture down, looking down the inside of the inlet, is that all oil???, that looks like a worrying amount youve got there.

I snapped one of those bolts like you did, Just drilled it out and jobs a goodun. Also that oil looks like its just been spilt when it was last serviced. My plugs were oily, well a few were, but it runs totally fine

only the head of the bolt has come off? no need to drill it, pair of mole grips and twist it back out

As fred said. Mole grips will get it. If you cant get mole grips on it then remove the inlet and you should have enough sticking out to put the grips on. IIRC the holes on the inlet arent actually threaded so the bolt doesnt screw into them as such, it just passes threw and the thread is in the hole below.

yeh i done the exact same thing just got it out with me fingers and if ur plugs are submerged in oil i would have thought it would have been the rocker cover gasket

Seems common for them to be oily, cant see the pics, but recently changed the plugs on my mates 182, because the garage he took it to said they didnt do it because the inlet manifold needed to be removed and the plugs didnt need doing apparently.

Shows how much the care they took, the entire cam cover was soaked in oil, 2 of the spark plugs were immersed in 3 inches of oil, and the other two were rusted to the point where they nearly snapped when I removed them.

ohhh, cheers guys, you have made me feel abit better! i was gutted as it was the last bolt i was tightening, and i was not over tightening them, but i also didnt want to loose suction ? or air getting out the gaps.. as i thought it would affect the cars performance!

The next thing to do is oil change, and gear box oil change, then it should be running sweet...

Futer is cambelt & aux... but thats when i pass my course!! then they will be mods on the car.. only some, zaust, lowered, sprayed alloys, strutbrace... the usual stuff!! just to make it stand out you know how it is...

Thanks again lads!! big help... oh and i didnt replace the seal that runs along the inlet manifold.... i just gave that a quick clean, plus the shops was closed, as i did it straight from work!!! but going back over this, giving the inlet manifold a clean.. how much of a benfit will it be??? ive seen the spray to clean it... does it really work, and better performance??? <<<<<<< ??? cheers

Yeah cleaning out the inside can make a big difference. Just make sure after cleaning it, it is all perfectly dry before re-assembling.
