just tried my g-tec for 1st time on 172

I have one!

I compared it to a few films of the speedo.

It stops when the speedo reaches 66mph.

Mine was within .2 of a second each time.

Very accurate!

And it looks cool!

Yeah it is awesome fun for all parties bar the clutch and front tyres!

That's an odd quarter mile. Its a surprisingly high terminal speed for that quarter mile time. Its the sort of time/speed combination that a car would get if it had a lot of power, but had trouble putting it down off the start line.

it did spin a bit lol,iv got crap tyres on the front

i never take it too seriously,its just a good bit of fun really

iv found there not too bad my old hybrid ran a few 14.1's at pod and the g tec was rading 14.3 so i dont think thats to bad

Depending on how accurate the accelerometer is inside these things then they could be very accurate.

Remember the only measurement these things need to work out really is the g forces (i.e. the accleration value), everything else is simple maths using newtons equations of motion and known values.
