K&N Air Intake

Anyone whos fitted a K&N and made a heat shield to prevent hot engine air being taken in, please ADVISE. Also when fitting your K&N your surposed to cut out the plastic obstruction next to the raidiater to ensure the intake pipe is open fully, im gonna do that over the weekend, any suggestions? Cheers

The inducyion pipe u get with the kit is pants - i modified mine by making it longer so the cold air feed go s right up to the filter - aint made a heat sheid for it tho, want to get a piperx viper kit eventually...
