K&N induction heatshield

  Clio MK2 1.4 16v
Does anyone have the 57I-6509 induction kit?

I want some opinions on it and also if they can provide measurements of the heatshield in case i decide to make one. At the moment, i have the normal kit without the heatshield and as i want to avoid heatsoak, i am looking at fitting a heatshield or look at BMC.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I run the 57i and although not really bothered about heatsoak (i bought the kit for the sound), im in the process of making a cup racer style headlight intake. This should blow cold air towards the cone, displacing any hot air circulating around the engine bay

I should mention that mine is the 1.4 16v where the throttle body is behind the engine and not on the side like the 172-182. I bought the equivalent kit for my car which comes with the pipe to connect it to the throttle body and relocates the filter to the front. I am either looking at making a heatshield or not that i have the clearance to install a BMC.

I wouldn't expect to get any more HPs from it but sound will do. it's the fact that i cannot be bothered on changing filters ever time i get it serviced. I am a High mileage driver and i washable filters are a must.
