K-tec brake setup

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v
k-tec's arent worth it imo.

Pad is basically ebc's basic pad, discs are really no different to standard except drilled - and this is coming from someone who has had them. I'm not running ferodo pads on the k-tec discs, and its a bit better imo.

Standard discs and pagid pads would be my choice, unless 4pots were an option.

Dont go drilled they crack!!!

get some Brembo 'grp N' discs and pagid fast road pads.

apart from a little squeeking when they are cold, it's a good set up for the car.

can calipers be bought i.e 4 pot, separatley but run standard discs pads etc.. ?

fancy some 4 pot`s + standard calipers always look a bit naff compared with brembo, ap, willwood etc..

Mark Ritchspeeds 4 pot kit is deisgned toe run on std 172 discs £280mm) or std williams discs (259mm).

You can't use std pads due to the different shape of the caliper

Also dont bother with all these no-make alloy calipers, stick with AP, Brembo, Alcon, Wilwood.
If you dont you will struggle for spares such as seals etc if needed, the best option is to get some of of another road car that has brembo's.
