K-TEC Or K&N

Hi guys

Ive heard of a fellow Clio 1.2 16v owner on these here forums who has a K&N 57i kit installed and as lost power, but has a nice beefy sound from his engine.
Id love that but dont want to lose power.
So what do you think of the http://www.k-tecracing.comwww.k-tecracing.com induction kit and reloaction kit?
Would this help on not losing power and even gain a little?
But does anyone know if it sounds as good as a K&N?

i think the piperX sounds awesome. dunno bout the k&n. ide have thought with enough cold air supply, a couple of pipes comin from the front of the car, there wouldnt be any real noticeable power loss

Would I get a sweet beefy sound thou, as if theres something actually underneath the bonnet!?
Does anyone know or have one fitted?
Has anyone reported power loss with the piper X ?
Ill have anything that sounds great but doesnt make my baby Clio lose the little power she already has!

i got a piperX on my 1.4 and you can definatly tell that its fitted, it sucks real hard .. i aint even gonna crack a funny, ill let someone else

not really much difference though, tis upto you mate. if you want it to sound sweet and cost less, get a piperx or k&n.. if you wanna get the most out of your engine, then get a relocation pipe n go down k-tec avenue

Are the piperx ones for the clio same as the ones for the Ibizas? I know on the ibizas they make you lose loads of power. They are huge and so give a great noise but suck a lot of hot air.

relocation pipe the way to go however for those people with aircon it aint an option so its off to find a master welder to make one for me! Just found someone at work that will hopefully do it for me! (He makes titanium exhausts in his spare time and is apparently amazing so......heres hoping!!)

K&N are pretty w**k imo. id say go for the k-tec with relocation pipe or the one from http://www.hillpower.co.ukwww.hillpower.co.uk

noel get a viper! ive just got one, its not loud but still sounds deep and you can hear it sucking. I can definitely feel an improvement in the mid-range.

got a pipercross and relocation kit and its good no loss in power and sounds great.
