k tec stealth system

Im seriously considering getting the stealth system for my Cup but have heard is it quite boomy when motorway driving - i dont mind a nice growl but constant noise when cruising down the m11 could get a bit annoying... Has any1 got a video/sound of this exhaust fitted cos i really wanna hear how loud it is b4 buying 1..

Ive got one on my ph1 172, and i wouldnt say its boomy on the motor way at all, compared to the magnex on my other 172 thats louder on the motorway than the k-tec, but when your going through the gear thats when the k-tec is that bit louder. Ive just fitted a silenced janspeed decat to match up with the k-tec and i love the noise. its louder when accelerating but at a steady speed you wouldnt no its there.

I havnt got any videos/sounds of it though sorry mate

The exhaust is fine, but it needs time spent getting it fitted perfectly.

I drive around at 65mph with the CD player on so noise is never a problem. It's never been annoying, just a hum at higher speeds that you get used to.

it will fall apart and at 70mph it is boomy yes!

is that if you dont get it fitted properly then yeh? if i was gonna get it i would go to k tec and let them sort it...

I personally wouldnt recommend getting one. I have had mine re-fitted 3 times as over time it falls down and rattles on the rear axle due to it being made out of 4 seperate peices and having poor mounts and clamps. Its pretty boomy up until 3k revs too, but after that sounds rather good. I dont know if it has been improved since I got mine a year ago, but if I was looking at getting a stealth system now I would go custom, which is what im going to do in the next few months.

gash, know someone with one and it always blows. He's is a very good mechanic and adjusted it 3 times already

My K-tec Stealth's been ace since it was fitted properly by Rentech Mike.

That was 6 months, 15k miles ago, not a hint of a problem since.

My one was good to quite loud bet no to loud if you no what i mean
