K20 clio 182 without chassis or subframe modification?

  Clio 172 cup
I was scrolling through facebook and Found a company that is currently in the process of sticking a k20 in a 182. Not the interesting part, they're claiming the chassis or subframe dosnt need modification, which from what ive heard is virtually impossible. Be interesting to see what the outcome is and if they fit a k20 without any modification.

With EP3 box and the engine as high as it is in that picture it has a chassis notch (I’ve spoken to him). Although he said they can make it fit with no notch or subframe modification, amazed at how they will manage that tbh

That's my mates car

The car has had the chassis leg notched slightly but other than that it fits like a glove. People always said you would never get a K20 into the bay due to the height of the engine but this sits bang on and is still at the correct lean angle too. Oh and its supercharged too so there's plenty of space on the front of the engine for a whopping charger😂

That’s going to be an animal once complete, wonder how much they’re gonna sell the kits for

Anyone else done this swap into a renault?
What else is involved to get it up and running?

I'd buy a whole civic and swap the loom and all. This is a level of conversion not for most DIY modders. Select Motorsport (I think) and the above are the ones who have probably got the furthest so you need to make some enquiries with them and be prepared to hand over a fair wedge of cash

They'll take 800bhp if you give them forged rods and uprate the valve springs. Crazy motors, you can get them to 330bhp naturally aspirated. I cant think of a better 4 cylinder engine i'd love to have even a standard one in the clio.

Even an NA K20 is better than an F4R. I had an EP3 push me all the way up to 120mph (Mexico) literally centimeters away from my bumper and all he had was an intake, exhaust and a map. At one point he went for the overtake ffs. I felt like a right c**t

A friend managed 240bhp out of his EP3 with an intake, manifold, exhaust and a map. It would take a lot of cash to get that out of an F4R. A good mate of mine managed 224bhp on EFI rollers out of his with 197 pistons, rods, valve springs and cams with an RS2 which is still stupidly high
