k800 memory card question...

ive just got a new k800 and i need a memory card for it, its the micro style though.

ive been on ebay and ive seen ones like this:

does that mean i have to have that adaptor thing plugged in all the time so it sticks out the side of the phone??

I bought a Sony 1 gig one from http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/Sony/512MB/Memory/Stick/Micro/-/M2
for 18 quid, can't grumble and know its genuine, some on ebay are fakes and don't work rate well!
