Kangaroo antics & Rough engine

I suspect I need new spark-plugs.

I'm @ 46k at the moment.

Car's awfully rough from cold (a LOT more than usual).

The car also intermittently feels awfully slow.... MPG has taken a dive too.



Any other ideas?

It's due a service soon, and I'd quite like to change various comsumables to keep it running smoothly (I really don't care about Renault's pie in the sky service recommmendations).


OH another thing - my engine fan has NEVER come on EVER! Is that normal? :S

Won't be sparkkies i don't think mate. not due to 72k. I'd say give it a good service. Get mike at rentech to give it a good seeing too

My old mk2 172 started to run rough under 2500 - 3000 revs , changed the spark plugs and it was good as new .

Like ya say stuff Renaults recommended intervals . 72,000 miles is alot before ya change em imo .

Any old make of plugs will do?

You WON'T believe this:

I've changed my plugs...

...and I've just seen 45MPG on my computer.

Lumpy cold engine seems to have been cured too.



I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with the old plugs though:
