key activates alarm on 2007 cliosport

hi I am a new member today and in need of some help. sometimes my key card does not lock/unlock the car but when I use the key in the passenger side door the alarm goes of and does not unlock the drivers door. has anyone experienced this problem before. I have changed the battery in the card today even though it didn't say to do so. I hope someone can help me with this problem.

I had a problem, where my keycard wouldn't allow me to lock the car using the card or button on the handle...but would allow me to start the card. New battery in the card wouldn't solve it either...try your spare key!

Long story short it could be the card which means an expensive trip to Renault for a new card and having it programmed! Although there are a few people about that maybe able to fix your current card if it is faulty!

its the cold, it does the same on my gt with both of my key cards take the battery out and rub it in your hand to warm it up abit and it works
