Key fob repair

  Iceberg 172
The key for my 172 stopped working earlier - assumed the battery was flat, but if you shake the key something was lose.

Took it apart and the button has come away from the PCB.

Anyone ever attempted to solder it back on? I know new keys are £150+

Any tips?

Cheers,

Sam

Common fault I think. I had to do this with 2 different clio's keys. You need to be fairly good with the solidering iron. If you can find a willing sparky, they may do it for some beer money.

its easy to repair i did mine at work haha (im an electrical apprentice training to be an engineer) just simple with solder and soldering iron a magnifing glass helps alot aswell keep a steady hand and try not to burn the circuit board. mines got a few scorch marks on it but nothing serious and it may not make the clicky sound when you press the actual button any more, mine doesnt but still works fine
i was proper proud when i managed to fix it haha
