key fob won't start car?! replaced the battery help!

hi I've just replaced the battery for my key and now when I turn to ignition it just flashes fast can anyone please help me! it's a 1.2 extreme 2002 model will be much appreciated thanks

It won't be going anywhere fast unfortuantely with that key anyway. Have you got/tried a spare?

Will probably want the keys recoding sounds like its gotten out of sync with the car.

As above unfortunately try the spate then get a new key imo. I'm not sure if you can reding the immobiliser?

I had a problem with my key not opening the doors the other day but noticed that the light on the key wasn't working, so stripped the key taken the battery out as it was dirty/corrosion and refitted it after cleaning and all fine even starting the engine.

So can't see changing the battery has something to do with it as it would of happened to me,
get a diagnostic test done.

thanks for replies the aa said the chip inside was broken so he used spare key (usually doesn't work) and that worked he said their sensitive to slightest power changes so could of been because of a flat battery! all to confusing for me but both keys work now how and why I don't know
