iss it true that if you dont change the battery in your key in ten seconds it wont start the car?read it on here and forgot the exact context of it. cant find the post either?battery in my current key works but i noticed signal not as strong as it was....would rarther know as this is my only keey!:)

No it isn't.
They key is coded and as such there is no real memory to lose.

If your key isn't working as expected then it may need re-synching.

tis a ball ache to re synch, i had an old cobra alarm on me last mk1 an was on the phone to cobra for 25 minutes in me work car park waiting for them to tell me how to resynch it.
