Knock and noises from the front..

The car clunks/knocks when pulling off or driving at slow speeds, clunks under heavy braking, creeks when going over speedbumps, it has the usual knocking at full knock but it also does it when not at full lock.

I dont trust the handelling of the car either, the other night it understeered then threw me into oversteer on small backstreet road! Not good!
Steering feels lighter than usual and i dont get as much feedback as i used to.

I've read it could be either engine mounts, gearbox mounts, dogbone, ball joints and the obvious top mounts.. i really think something to do with the suspension is nakerd aswell though :S

I had the car looked over by an MOT tester but he knows piss all about these cars really.. he thinks because ive lowered the car the handeling is crap.. its on eibach sportlines and ive had them on the car for a year btw lol

My car is still on standard shocks and top mounts.

I think you'll agree that is worse than the usual strut knock you get.

Cant get a video of the slow speed clunk and heaving braking clunk atm.

I have this exact problem! Its doing my nut in as no one seems to know what it is.

Its a weird clunk when braking to a standstill and when pulling off!

i have this same problem too! :S

Got mine booked in at BTM on monday so i too will be asking fred.

Same setup as yours too, sportlines with standard shocks and top mounts.

i've got same problems! goddam frogs! lol i've done the dog bone mount and it never made a difference. But i also have a metal on metal rattel under mod/heavy acceleration. soooo into any info if its going!

The knocking on full lock has been greatly reduced because of my K-Tec solid top mounts but the rest is still happening.

Annoying isnt the word!

I'm chaging the ball joint this weekend and the top mounts next week i'll let you know how I get on
