knocking almost banging noise

hey guys have had a quick scan through the threads but cant see anything that im looking for, basically I picked up my first 02 renault clio sport over the weekend it had no tax so I test drove on a industrial estate and just drove it steady etc, trailored it home and now after taking it out for the first time I thought id give it a quick blast but seems to make quite a loud bang or knock when changing gear fast? is this just a case of gear box mounts or engine mounts? or are the other known faults that have these symptoms? thanks guys and sorry if a bit vague, thanks in advance

Dogbone mount is common I think.especially if there is movement of the gearstick when pulling away.
I also solved a nasty knocking on mine recently which was a badly warn trackrod end.

Did you solve this? I have the same fault yet the garage say they haven't been able to find anything on my 197 despite saying they can hear it too!
