Knocking from suspension

Hi all,

My 02 172 has started making a knocking noise from the front passengers side suspension strut. The garage that looked at it for me said that it needed to be 'packed' better, and that it wasn't dangerous to drive. They (renault main dealer) did the 'packing' but now the knocking seems worse than ever when pulling away from stationary.

Any thoughts anyone?

hi m8'' i had the same problem with my 172 try changing your front driveshaft m8 this may be causing it'' if not then most proberly your gearbox there might be 2 much diff in the box, this may lead 2 having a new gearbox fitted.
