Knocking on the front wheel when turning slowly

Ive just discovered a knocking on the front drivers side wheel when i turn sharply/slowly.Someone reckons it could be a cv boot but no idea.Can you help?

Just found out it was the driveshaft on the near side that is knackered.Going to tkae 3/4 days to repair as it has to be stripped to see if the the cup and bearing need replacing aswell.Renault are difficult as you cant return unused parts.Going to cost £310 so not best pleased.
