knocking/thudding noise from front of car

going like 'thud thud thud'

seems to be coming from the front of the car, maybe the passenger side wheel. only makes it when ive got my foot off the gas, and cant hear it below 30

cv boot is loose and loosing grease, donno if that would be related. also running a LOT of camber

any ideas? thanks

forgot to mention that the thudding is related to the speed im travelling. the noise gets slower the longer i leave my foot off the acc.

likely that the cv joint is damaged after running dry.

shouldnt be too bad on your wallet. had one relplaced when i had my fiesta, cost me £90. i imagine a 172 shouldnt be much more.

Yep sounds like that your problem new CV joint maybe bearing.
