knocking under acceleration and engine light on dash

hi new to the site
does anyone know what a loud knocking under hard acceleration would be coming from the front.
also the little engine light on the dash board is on
any ideas?
in fairness the car does get driven very hard maybe iv broken it

Same thing went on mine, nasty sounding knocking in 1st & 2nd gears... replaced the bottom left engine mount (£15 from GSF car parts) & now its perfect!

where are the locations of the engine mounts i had problems with these on my old valver now i have a 172 and under acceleration i get the knocking noise on the drivers side what mount would be causing this?????

this fucker of mine is still doing tht,its bursting my tits,took it into arnold clark and they replaced the f**king steering rack.so mounts wud be the case then??
