knocking when slowing down in traffic..

best example i can think of is being stuck in traffic, where you will accelerate to about 10/15mph then let go of pedal.. anyway, when i let go of pedal and the car begins to slow down, shortly after then there will be a knock sounding like its coming from the engine bay on the drivers side

will it be an engine mount problem??

sounds like the gearbox 'dogbone' mount to me.

does it do it in first if you let it roll along at idle revs, then tap the throttle?

yeah, sounds like the 'box mount mate.

It's under your battery.

take it into Renault..."fix my car please, i have a cushy warranty"
