The more i look the more i find, the wires have been pulled out of the connector and one taped so looks deliberate but i have no idea what its for, thank you

if you do the dashboard test it will show a fault for the oil level sender

Or if it mentions nothing of oil level when you start car or turn ignition it's likely there's a fault on the circuit or with the sensor itself..

Hold the button on the end of the right stalk whilst turning the key, itll tell you if theres any current faults and what not

Tried pressing the button, the rev counter went to 8000, speedo read sixty while standing still but didnt really understand anything else, wish i hadnt bought this and spent the money on my mk1 golf gti.
